XJ Headliner Replacement

Headliners are interchangeable 1984-2001. If you are looking to replace the headliner on your 96 and older XJ, we recommend picking a 96 and up headliner that has the rear speaker mounts.

Materials Needed:

  1. Headliner Material
    1. Light Gray Auto Headliner 3/16" Foam Backing Fabric Material 72" X 60"
    2. or your preferred material from Joann's Fabrics
  2. 3 cans of 3M 38808 Headliner and Fabric Adhesive - 18.1 oz.

Tools

  • Phillips Screwdriver
  • Torx T-25 & T-50 bits
  • Ratchet
  • Scissors
  • Razor blade
